Japanese Ramens

I've been ramen-hopping around very often all thanks to my friend S who has been recommending me new brands to try.

At first being quick to judge, I felt ajisen was the best and have been forcing friends to eat the same type of ramen each time we met up.

Then came a new job with new friends and also a chance to bond with old friends. S told me how awful ajisen tasted after trying Aoba at ION Orchard, which to my surprise was a complete knockout! But you must first have a craving for salty food before stepping in to one, else you will find yourself in a constant thirst for green tea!

The noodles are thicker and the soup is slightly more herbal than Ajisen. More importantly the tontoro meat is so tender it melts in your mouth, you'd never get enough of it! But like I've said, it only pleases the salty tongued.

If you feel like having creamier soup with smoother texture for the day, try Tampopo at Takashimaya basement called the black pig noodle. The meat tasted like streamed bacon and is less heavy when eaten with the noodles. However my most favourite part of the dish lies in the soup; it's creamier, more spicy and smoother.

What's food recommendation without salivating, mouth-watering pictures to entice!

Unfortunately they taste so yummy I completely forgot about taking photos!

Please stay tuned, I'll be back with images! Meanwhile, ramen lovers, go check them out!
