As I sit at my table thinking of what to write for this week’s series of blog entries, I've decided to still continue writing about life and its surprises; I realized how amazing life can turn out to be for you, especially when you least expected it.
It was only less than 6 weeks ago that I was contemplating on making the biggest decision of my life as an aspiring independent working adult. During this time, I had my fair share of qualms and unhappiness but ultimately, I knew that it was now or never.
Even with several concerns at the back of my mind, I focused on what was important and "never looked back" - to qoute a curly friend of mine.
After laying the cards down on the table, I started my job hunting process again. This time, it was much more arduous and tedious than the last, but my journey pales in comparison to what my close friends have experienced; in fact without her help, I might just be facing the same challenges and friction and more importantly, the low morales and disappointments ahead.
It then dawned upon me how life is full of surprises; just when you are resigned to a fate of unhappiness and tediousness, there came this friendly sms informing you of an almost ideal job application. The beginning of my silver lining and I credit it to fate, to my resilience and most important of all - to my friend who started it all, heartfelt gratitude S.
Just when you think you are caught in the dumps, you will never know who or what can pull you out of it.
Just when you think you have to start from scratch, you will never know who or what will come along to springboard you to a shortcut.
Just when you think you might never hear the phone ring again, you will never know who is just starting to dial your phone number.
You will never know. So don't stop dreaming. =)
